Dear Manager/Secretary,
Woolston Rovers Football Club are once again holding a Festival of Football tournament at Bennets Recreation Ground, Padgate, Warrington and would be grateful if you could consider entering a team or teams in any or all of the available age groups. Please note that due to the growing size of the players we have had to limit the playing numbers as follows:-
Under 7-10 age groups 7-a-side with squads of 10
Under 11-14 age groups 6-a-side with squads of 8
Under 15 age group 11-a-side with squads of 15
The dates for the tournament are listed below: -
Saturday 7th June Morning Under 14’s 18 Teams
Saturday 7th June Morning Under 11s 18 Teams
Saturday 7th June Afternoon Under 7s 18 Teams
Saturday 7th June Afternoon Under 8’s 18 Teams
Sunday 8th June Morning Under 13’s 18 Teams
Sunday 8th June Morning Under 12’s 18 Teams
Sunday 8th June Afternoon Under 9’s 18Teams
Sunday 8th June Afternoon Under 10’s 18 Teams
Saturday 14th June All day Under 15’s 11-a-side 12 teams
All age groups are of season 2007/2008
The tournaments entrance fee will be £30(£50 11-a-side) per team and will be payable on return of entrance slip. Confirmation of all entrance fees will be acknowledged by email and details of competition rules start times and location maps will be forwarded by mail or email when the event is full or 4 weeks prior to event dates.
All cheques (no cash) must be made payable to Woolston Rovers F.C. Refunds will only be given in the event of a tournament cancellation.
The competition for the under 7 and 8 age groups will be run differently as last year after the group stages the top two teams in each group will progress into the WRFC Trophy and the remaining two will progress into the WRFC Shield (each team will be guaranteed six games and receive a medal for competing). The competition for the under 9,10,11,12,13,14 and 15 age group will be competitive and will run as a knock out (each team will be guaranteed a minimum of 5 games). All players in the finals will be awarded trophies.
NOTE: - THERE WILL BE NO ACADEMY TEAMS ALLOWED IN THIS TOURNAMENT A REG FORM MUST BE SUPPLIED WITH PROOF THAT PLAYERS ARE NOT REGISTERED WITH ACADEMY CLUBS. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS ANYONE FOUND FLAUNTING THIS RULE WILL BE EXCLUDED IMMEDIATELY WITH NO REFUND.
ANY TEAMS THAT USE FOUL AND ABUSIVE LANGUAGE OR WHO CAUSE BEHAVIOURAL ISSUES WILL BE IMMEDIATELY ASKED TO LEAVE AND NOT ASKED TO RETURN TO ANY FUTURE TOURNAMENTS.
