CLUB HISTORY
Woolston Rovers History and Day to Day Running (05/01/07)

Woolston Rovers Football Club

The Past

Woolston Rovers Football Club was established in October 1999 as a result of the increasing demand for junior football opportunities in the Padgate and Woolston areas.

The club is based at Bennett Recreation Ground together with several other sport and recreation clubs. There are excellent facilities including space for several pitches, new changing rooms and showers and ample parking spaces. These facilities were kindly made available to the club by the local parish council.

The Present

Woolston Rovers Football Club currently provides training opportunities for approximately one hundred and seventy children between the ages of five and twelve. Several teams have been entered into the Warrington Junior Solvay-Interox League at age groups from under 7 to under 14’s.

Woolston Rovers Football Club is a non-profit making organisation.
All fees and subscriptions are ploughed back into the club for the benefit of the children.

All coaches have recently successfully completed the F.A. Junior Team Manager Award. The coaches do not receive financial remuneration. One of these coaches has attained his first for sport level two certificate.

The Future

Woolston Rovers Football Club will continue to grow as the demand dictates. The intention is that successive age groups will be entered into the respective leagues as part of a rolling programme.

And so ……..
Welcome to Woolston Rovers Football Club.

Woolston Rovers Football Club

Day to Day Running

Committee members, coaches and managers meet formally on a regular basis to discuss club
matters.

The club AGM will be held annually in July/August and are open to everyone connected with Woolston Rovers Football Club. The main purposes of these meetings are to inform people of any current developments and to plan for future events as well as being an opportunity for parents to raise any issues and the election of any new or re-election of existing committee members

A presentation evening will be organised for the end of each season.

Parents will be notified of the date, time and venue of meetings and events at the earliest opportunity through the club’s regular newsletter.

------------------------------------------------------------------

Our aim is for Woolston Rovers Football Club to operate an open policy. We want children and parents to feel welcome and valued. If you have any concerns or comments regarding the running of the club you should contact your child’s manager initially. If you feel your concerns need further consideration you should raise them with a committee member or the football co-ordinator.

We need to remember that Woolston Rovers Football Club is run by parents voluntary for the benefit of children who want to play football.

By training or playing with Woolston Rovers Football Club parents and children agree to abide by the rules and code of conduct set out within this document.
